A user manual for your data

Every appliance comes with an instruction leaflet. This is ours, written for anyone who lands on this page or sends the shop a message. It follows Brazil's General Data Protection Law, Law No. 13.709/2018.

Know who holds the cord

The party that decides what happens to information received here is Ventila Comércio de Ventiladores e Móveis LTDA, registered under CNPJ 14.308.640/0001-78, at Alameda São Boaventura, 531, unit 002, Fonseca, Niterói, RJ, Brazil, ZIP 24130-001.

The company itself acts as the data protection officer. Requests and questions go to contato@afterthecommute.com or to +55 21 3706-6397 and +55 21 2637-0165.

Check what comes in through the grille

No form sits on these pages, there is no sign-up step and no password kept anywhere. We only receive something from you in two situations:

Please do not e-mail us documents, card details or health information. None of that is needed to answer a question about a fan.

Understand why the shop keeps anything at all

Messages serve one purpose: sending back the answer you asked for, whether about an appliance, a piece of furniture or a request to erase your data. You authorize that use the moment you send the question; should the chat turn into a sale, fulfilling what was settled comes in as well.

The server's technical logs help the page keep answering and turn away abusive traffic. They never become a shopping profile or a mailing list.

See who else touches the data

We do not sell, rent or swap anybody's information. Three outside services sit along the way, each under its own rules:

A public authority only receives data under a court order or a duty set out in law.

Switch off what you would rather not have running

Ventila sets no tracking or advertising cookies, and the page loads no script. If an outside service stores something in your browser on its own account, your browser settings let you clear or block it without spoiling the reading.

Links to other addresses, if any appear, lead to pages governed by whoever publishes them.

Rely on a holding period and on care

A conversation stays on file until the matter closes; once closed, it only remains if a tax or consumer-protection rule says it must be kept. With no such duty, it is deleted. Server logs follow the hosting service's own retention cycle.

Pages travel to your screen over an encrypted link, and access to the mailbox is limited to the people who staff the shop. No system is flawless, which is why we try to hold as little as we can.

Ask for what belongs to you

As the data subject, the law gives you a set of requests you can make at any time, free of charge:

Give us up to 15 business days from the arrival of your note to answer. Unhappy with it? Take the matter to Brazil's National Data Protection Authority (ANPD) at gov.br/anpd.

This manual may be reissued whenever the shop changes how it serves people or the law moves. The wording currently published here is what binds us.
